The Power of Music² Concert

Sunday 1 st November: All Souls Day Concert – ‘The Power of Music²’ We are delighted to present ‘The Power of Music²’ on Sunday, 1 st November at 6.30 in Colet House’s beautiful Top Studio.  This will be an inspiring and uplifting day exploring the physical and emotional benefits of music in our lives: 5:00-6:00 pm - Pre-formance Talk by Dr Laszlo Nagy, with Dr Mark Ross Clark and Dr Chika Robertson (East Studio) 6:15 pm – Doors open (Top Studio) 6.30 pm – Concert Performance (Top Studio) 7.30 pm – Reception This special event is sponsored by the Music Mind Spirit Trust (MMST) , a charity that will be featuring talented musicians from two of UK’s leading music conservatoires – gifted young instrumentalists from the Royal Academy of Music , with selected singers from the Royal College of Music in London .  MMST has been in existence for more than 20 years, and produces unique events that promote the medical and well-being benefits of singing music of all styles. By popular demand, we are able to welcome back the engaging tenor and paediatric neuro-surgeon Dr Laszlo Nagy , who stands as a symbol of the love of singing with a love of the values of medicine.  Laszlo returns to Colet House with MMST’s Young Artist Musical Ambassadors and the British Opera Academy for this memorable event. There will also be the opportunity for audience members to sing a special choir piece in the newly formed Colet Chorus if they wish! (There will be a run-through rehearsal with Dr Mark Ross Clark offered on Saturday 24 Oct from 5.15-6 pm, following the Teatime Concert, for those who can attend.
