Breathwork classes & workshops in London
Breathwork is a session where a facilitator guides you through a specific breathing pattern — usually connected, mouth-led and faster than normal — while you lie down with music playing. Thirty to sixty minutes of it can bring tingling, strong emotion, tears or a deep calm, and the session closes with rest and sharing.
London runs everything from lunchtime classes to weekend intensives, in styles from gentle and somatic to the intense holotropic lineage. Most are two hours and need no experience.

Common questions
- What happens in a breathwork session?
- You lie on a mat with an eye mask while the facilitator talks you into a connected breathing rhythm — in through the mouth, no pause at the top, out with a release. After twenty to forty minutes of active breathing the music softens and you rest, then the group usually shares what came up.
- Is breathwork safe?
- For most people, yes, though tingling hands and a tight jaw are common and harmless. Facilitators normally ask you to check in first if you have epilepsy, cardiovascular problems, glaucoma, severe asthma, a history of psychosis, or are pregnant — the faster styles aren't recommended in those cases.
- Do I need any experience?
- No. Almost every London session is open to first-timers and the facilitator explains the pattern before anything starts. You can stop and breathe normally whenever you want.
