A Space to be heard: Free Monthly Men's Circle in Greenwich
A monthly men's circle around a fire in Maze Hill where you speak from the heart and never have to share, just listen.
Tickets & details Free
Come as you are. Open up, be heard.
A monthly circle for men to slow down, speak honestly and be heard. No advice, no fixing, no performing. Just men speaking from the heart and listening to each other.
When: One Friday a month, 6.00pm to 8.00pm (doors open 5.45pm)
Where: Plot 9, Maze Hill (SE3 7RD)
Who it’s for
Anyone socialised as or identifying as a man, including male-bodied non-binary people and trans men who feel drawn to the space. If you’ve never done anything like this before, you’re exactly who we had in mind.
What to expect
We open with a short grounding practice to help you arrive, then read our Circle Agreements together. Then we take turns to speak while everyone else listens. You never have to share, as listening is just as much a part of the circle. Please read the agreements before you come.
We sit outdoors in a covered space around the fire, so dress warmly. Tea and snacks are available, so come a few minutes early if you’d like to settle in with a warm drink.
Arriving
We begin promptly at 6.00pm. To protect the group, we can’t admit anyone after 6.15pm.
Booking
Places are limited. If you book and can’t make it, please cancel so someone else can come.
First time?
It’s normal to feel unsure about coming to something like this for the first time. If you have questions, you’re welcome to get in touch beforehand at lee_embrace_life@icloud.com. You don’t have to know what you’re doing, just turn up.
Getting there
Plot 9 is a few minutes’ walk from Maze Hill station (Southeastern and Thameslink). The walk from the platform is a little fiddly, so here’s a video of the route.
By bus, the 129, 177, 188, 286, 386 and 422 stop at Trafalgar Road / Maze Hill (Stop H), and the 386 also stops at Maze Hill Station (Stops M and N). From the station, walk up Vanbrugh Hill, turn right onto Restell Close, and Plot 9 is about halfway down on the right.
Free parking is usually available on Dinsdale Road or Humber Road.
