ABOUT ASTRAL
With origins linking back to Iran, London-based Ario is a practitioner of deep and inquisitive music both as a DJ and as curator of the influential Astral Industries label. Though his remit falls within the deeper shades of electronic music, his overall aesthetic draws on a broader spectrum that prizes the synthesis of both instrumental and electronic forms. Depending on context, he traverses the line between ambient and heavier, club-ready styles. What is common in both worlds, however, is his alchemical handling of rich organicism mixed with darker, more austere sounds. With recent performances at Houghton, La Nature and OHM to name a few, he invites listeners to embark on a trip that is both immersive and transformative, leaving a lasting impression long after the music fades.

WHAT IS DEEP LISTENING?
These special sessions are designed to allow you to experience sound without any distractions. We curate this chamber for complete audio immersion with our hi-fidelity sound system and incredible intentional DJs sets on select weekends, allowing you to explore all the textures, layers and dimensions of electronic music, while you lay down undistracted by the world around you. A simple concept, yet rare to find in London.

There is also a collective element to deep listening. By listening together we give each other more agency to fully drop into the listening experience and in doing so, discover deeper profound ways sound can leave an impression on us.
