Join us for the Deep Listening Room w/ Donna Leake

Donna has been DJing globally and hosting a monthly radio show on NTS for 9 years and weekly shows ROVR for the last 2 years. It began with a love for music, dance and the exploration of sounds, spaces and experiences guided by an ever developing taste.

She loves and plays many styles of music from different times, places and feelings. Influences and inspirations include but not limited to: traditional dance and folk from all over the world, jazz, percussion, hip hop, dancehall, reggae, dub, roots, UK bass, psych, ritual, soundtrack and library music - sometimes she mixes it up, sometimes not.

Although she predominantly still plays eclectic sets, in the last few years, particularly for club and later night sets, she’s been exploring and playing more electronic music. Mainly in the bass music world - dub, dubstep, jungle, grime, dancehall, and some experimental percussive sounds. Still all Vinyl.

These special sessions are designed to allow you to experience sound without any distractions. We curate this chamber for complete audio immersion with our hi-fidelity sound system and incredible intentional DJs sets on select weekends, allowing you to explore all the textures, layers and dimensions of electronic music, while you lay down undistracted by the world around you.

There is also a collective element to deep listening. By listening together we give each other more agency to fully drop into the listening experience and in doing so, discover deeper profound ways sound can leave an impression on us.
