Somebody once drew you a diagram. An oval, a few lines, a small dot near the top. That was the map most of us were given for our own bodies. The small dot is the tip of something about the size of your palm. It has a body that runs back under the pubic bone, two legs that run down either side, and two bulbs that sit under the lips. It fills and firms and changes shape, and most of it is inside you. A fully labelled picture of the whole structure did not appear in Gray's Anatomy until 2008. This is a morning for a small group of women to fill in the parts nobody showed us: a guided awareness meditation, clear anatomy taught with a model and printed images, and gentle pelvic movement, plus a simple practice to take home. Everyone stays fully clothed, the whole morning. Nobody touches anybody. Nothing is looked at, shown or examined. Sunday 22 November, 11:00 to 13:30 (doors 10:45), North London N11. The exact address is sent on booking. Small group, often three or four women and never more than eight. Herbal teas and water are available throughout. Concession £15 | Standard £20 | Supporter £25. Booking is through Eventbrite, using the registration link. Facilitated by Melanie Knight, somatic sex educator and Certified Sexological Bodyworker, in North London.
