Qigong classes in London
Qigong is a Chinese practice of slow, repeated movement coordinated with breath and attention. Sequences are short and undramatic — standing, shifting weight, opening and closing the arms — and are meant to be repeated rather than perfected.
London classes run in parks, community halls and studios, often early morning, and many are drop-in. Come in clothes you can move in; nothing more is needed.

Common questions
- What is qigong?
- A practice from Chinese medicine combining gentle movement, breathing and focused attention, usually done standing. Where tai chi is a long martial form, qigong is a set of short repeatable exercises.
- Is qigong suitable for beginners or older people?
- Yes — it's low impact, done standing or seated, and can be scaled to almost any level of mobility. Most London classes are mixed ability and welcome complete beginners.
- What should I wear to a qigong class?
- Loose, warm clothing and flat shoes, or bare feet indoors. Outdoor classes carry on in most weather, so dress for standing still in it.
